Gosh. Another May adviser steps down

Top government adviser quits amid Brexit row and accuses Theresa May of ‘allying with Ukip’

They’re falling like flies. May is the kiss of death. Still, this one is a Labour peer. I’ve no idea what he was doing as a May adviser in the first place.

Theresa May’s infrastructure tsar Lord Adonis has quit his post in a row over Brexit in which he accused the Prime Minister of ‘allying with Ukip and the Tory hard right’.

The pro-European Labour peer has stepped down from his role at the National Infrastructure Commission due to his opposition to the decision to leave the European Union, which he described as “a dangerous populist and nationalist spasm worthy of Donald Trump”.

That is a bit harsh, comparing Oor Theresa to The Donald. Mind you, she was falling over herself to invite The Donald for a state visit.

Still, May has earned herself no brownie points. She embraced Brexit despite campaigning as a remainer, produced chaotic negotiations and an absolute farce of a government, has proven herself completely untrustworthy and incompetent, yet she wants us to respect her authority.

Tories cannot be trusted with government. I don’t know why it took this Labour peer so long to quit, but finally, perhaps he had enough of Tory betrayal.

And if Oor Theresa still wants to fellate The Donald, she needs to quit Downing Street first. We don’t need THAT embarrassment.
